Beautiful old painting oil on canvas signed at the bottom right by the Bordeaux painter Jean Pierre Carré dated 1909, representing the hieratic portrait of a young woman of quality in an interior wearing a fine lace dress with a black collar. Minor old restoration, in a later wooden and stucco frame. The Bordeaux Museum of Fine Arts holds two self-portraits of this artist.
