Hello, I am selling this painting with a height of 22 cm and a width of 30 cm without the frame, and 32 cm in height and 40 cm in width including the frame. It is a beautiful oil on panel, titled. (unless it is a signature) and dated August 1898 on the back. It depicts a thicket with numerous plays of light and colors, featuring interesting texture effects here and there, particularly for the large rock in the foreground. Despite some signs of wear and traces of restoration, which are fairly well done, the composition and the panel on which it was made are in very good condition.
The choice of wood has received particular attention with its grains and warm hues (even more beautiful than in the photos, especially with the reflections), demonstrating a genuine desire to give this composition a precious look, like that of a beautiful object in its own right. The painting has been varnished uniformly, providing protection across its entire surface and beautiful satin reflections. The photos were taken on a sunny afternoon in a very well-lit room.
The second and third photos are the most faithful to the actual color rendering. However, please note that computer or mobile screens other than mine, depending on their brightness and contrast, may alter the results I achieved. Keeping these elements in mind, you can still consider these two pictures as sufficiently representative of reality, under similar observation conditions as described earlier.
Attention collectors, those attracted to vintage items, curiosities, decorative objects, or simply admirers of their intrinsic beauty! This is an excellent gift idea. In order for this to be taken into account, it is imperative that if the box is damaged, sufficiently (it is up to you to determine this upon inspection) at any point, and/or opened, even partially, that you ask the delivery person to note reservations, if it is a shipment with the Post, or that you refuse the package with the staff at the pick-up point if it is a pick-up point shipment, UNLESS, you will need to ask them, you have the option to note reservations with the scanning device for the shipping slips - then you can receive the package - before they scan the shipping receipt or perform any other operation confirming that you have indeed received the package; in other words, ask to thoroughly check the condition of the box, not omitting any part, in both scenarios before they act.Regarding delivery at a pick-up point, if your refusal of receipt is made, the package will be kept by the pick-up point to be returned to the expertise service for verification to report the responsibility of the deliverers and to make the insurance effective (information gathered from their site) in case the item is damaged. Regarding the Post, if delivery occurs in your mailbox because the package dimensions allow it, without hand delivery therefore, and the box is sufficiently damaged (a nuance that you need to determine), you must return it to the nearest postal point without opening it, asking the counter staff to return the package to me (information collected from their site), again in anticipation of a verification by the delivery service, UNLESS, as in the case of delivery at a pick-up point, the postal office staff can indicate reservations. In any case, do not hesitate to take photos of the damaged and/or opened box. You may think, for any reason, that the item inside the box remains in perfect condition, despite the damaged box, sufficiently (it is up to you to determine this upon inspection), and/or opened, even partially, and therefore that you do not need to issue reservations, or that you accept the package if issuing reservations is not possible; but know that this amounts to playing Russian roulette since delivery services rely on human error, which by the way suits them well since, I repeat, the insurance is then no longer effective due to damage caused by the sacred transfer of responsibility from the deliverer to the sender or recipient; fewer expenses for them since they will not have to pay the insurance amount!
And do not count on "shaking" the package to determine if the item is broken; unless it is glass or ceramic, the sound of breakage is imperceptible, or it may be a protective element in the package. Be sure to communicate all these elements in case a third party is picking up the package on your behalf. On the other hand, if the condition of the returned item is different from the state it was in at the time I sent it, but no evidence can determine that the deliverers are responsible, then there will be no refund, for the reason that even with excellent packaging, it can happen that not only are the shocks during transport extremely significant, but also that this happens without external damage, that is to say on the box. Things that may not have happened during the initial shipment, and which might have been avoided if the buyer had picked up the package and thus prevented a second transport, theoretically involving twice the risk for the item.A hand delivery is entirely possible if you make the trip. If you have any questions or would like more photos, feel free to let me know.
PS: I have other paintings on my profile.
