This is an old copy of the work by Giovanni Battista Salvi, known as Sassoferrato (1609 -1685), currently preserved at the National Gallery of Umbria (Palazzo dei Priori), which was previously exhibited for a long time in the church of San Severo in Perugia. The models of the Madonna by Sassoferrato were very popular and were therefore widely copied and reproduced. The painting, restored and re-canvas, is presented in an original frame.
