Ancient Sacred Subject Table Oil on Canvas 17th-18th Century. Welcome to the Di Mano in Mano shop. Neapolitan school of the 17th-18th century.

It is a traditional scene of the deposition of Christ on the Cross, with the inert and pale body laid in the arms of his mother Mary, in turn embraced and supported in her grief by the disciple John, and around, sharing the mourning, two pious women and two disciples. The scene is characterized by a descending diagonal linearity, following the body of Jesus, starting from the Cross pole erected on the left and ending with the woman squatting to kiss Jesus' feet on the right.

All around, a bare gray background, which emphasizes the drama and emptiness it creates. Restored and re-lined, the painting is presented in a frame from the early 20th century. 18th Century / 1701 - 1800, 17th Century / 1601 - 1700. Height: 103 Width: 86 Depth: 5.

A NEW LIFE FOR THINGS MORE VALUE FOR PEOPLE, SINCE 1999. The Di Mano in Mano work cooperative was founded in 1999 at the initiative of some members of the communities of Villapizzone and Castellazzo, adopting their values and transposing them into the world of work. The rules of Di Mano in Mano are based on respect for the life of each worker and their personal and family needs.

Taking care of the environment, its territory, and the community that inhabits it, its history, its art and culture, its needs in terms of work and training opportunities, and its social vulnerabilities: these values are the solid foundations on which we have built over the years a unique business model, faithful to this revolutionary idea of finding and putting into practice new ways to improve the quality of life. The equal payment proportional to the number of hours worked, the indivisibility of profits, which characterizes the relationship of the associates from the beginning, confirms Di Mano in Mano's intention to continue living in the spirit of sharing work, respecting the individual, and sobriety.
