Hello, I am selling this painting with a height of 80 cm and a width of 91 cm. It is a superb oil on canvas probably created by a talented French painter from the late 19th or early 20th century (there is a mention on the back of the canvas, but I am not sure if it is a signature; in any case, it is illegible to me). It depicts a particularly soothing lakeside landscape in which a peasant woman has led her herd of cows to water them. The great clarity of light here and there, reaching its peak on the path that leads into the background, suggests a midsummer day, beautifully contrasted by the shadow of the tall trees under which a few boats peacefully float. Special mention for the superb quality of execution of this painting, with blurred effects in some places, and for the surprising realism of the reflections in the water.

The painting shows some crackling here and there, a depression in the sky, small holes in some places, a tear at the level of the trees, and signs of wear. Repaints are to be noted. The tear, although still visible, becomes increasingly discreet as you move away from the composition; some might even consider it relatively discreet at a distance of 4 or 5 meters. The eleventh and twelfth photos show the crackling most faithfully, especially in the sky. Attention collectors, people attracted to vintage items, curiosities, decorative objects - for restaurants or weddings for example - or simply admirers of their intrinsic beauty!

It's a great gift idea. All my shipments include insurance proportional to the value of the item. The shipment will be done with care, unless you prefer a hand delivery, which is entirely possible if you make the trip. ATTENTION: All my shipments include insurance proportional to the value of the item.

Therefore, in order for this to be taken into account, if the cardboard box is (sufficiently) damaged, it is imperative that you refuse the package with the personnel at the relay point or the delivery person, depending on the chosen mode of delivery, before they scan the shipping label or perform any other operation confirming that you have received the package; therefore, make sure to check the condition of the box thoroughly before they act. If you refuse to accept the package, it will be kept by the relay point or the delivery person to be returned to me, for a check of the delivery service to determine the responsibility of the delivery person and make the insurance effective (information gathered from the Mondial Relay and La Poste websites). If the delivery is made to your mailbox because the dimensions of the package allow it, without hand delivery with La Poste, and the box is damaged, you must return it to the nearest post office without opening it. Please note that in all these cases, you may think, for whatever reason, that the item inside the box remains in perfect condition and therefore accept the delivery - or not go to the nearest post office -, but the delivery services count on the margin of error, which suits them well because, as I repeat, the insurance is no longer effective in case of damage; less expenses for them! And do not count on shaking the package to determine if the item is broken; unless it is made of glass or ceramic, the sound of breaking is imperceptible.

If you have any questions or would like more photos, feel free to let me know.
