Beautiful old painting from the late 19th century, oil on canvas signed at the bottom left representing a very beautiful seaside landscape animated by characters collecting seashells along a rocky coast. Annotation on the frame "Cap Breton in the evening".

The diffusion of light is very soft and nuanced, the sky cloudless, the touch similar to the painter Alfred Godchaux. On its original canvas in a beautiful modern gilded/molded wooden frame.
