Quadro di grande misura e impatto adornato da cornice antica, non coeva, piacevolmente scolpita e argentata. Opera finemente dipinta nei minimi particolari con diversi riferimenti iconografici tra cui le catene (vedi foto in basso a destra) in riferimento alla prigionia del santo. He libro, he teschio e il vaso porta unguenti (in basso a sinistra) in riferimento alla maddalena.
