Original canvas presented in a louis xvi style frame; the canvas is in very good condition. Joseph of Lorraine, Joseph II (Vienna, March 13, 1741, February 20, 1790), eldest son of Marie Therese of Austria, he succeeded his father as emperor of the Romans in 1765, and became a corregant of the hereditary possessions of the Habsburgs; he inherited these in 1780 on the death of his mother, Empress Marie Therese.
