19th Century Oil on Canvas The Milkmaid after Johannes Vermeer Old Copyist Work

  
Canvas size: approximately 46 x 55 cm. The Milkmaid is an oil painting on canvas measuring 45.5 × 41 cm, created by Johannes Vermeer, also known as "Vermeer of Delft" around 1658, and exhibited since 1908 at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Unsigned, probably a study, a copyist's work, a student's work, etc. Beautifully made, with fairly thick paint. Note: some paint chips and missing spots, slight depression or warping of the canvas.

Slight yellowing of the varnish in places. A small restoration work may be necessary, but these "small" defects give the work a nice character in its current state. Using several methods and platforms to sell our items, it is possible that the item may become unavailable and be withdrawn prematurely from the sale.
