A NEW LIFE FOR THINGS, GREATER VALUE FOR PEOPLE, SINCE 1999.

The Di Mano in Mano worker cooperative was founded in 1999 by several members of the Villapizzone and Castellazzo communities, adopting their values and bringing them into the workplace. Di Mano in Mano’s principles are based on respect for each worker’s life and their personal and family needs.

Caring for the environment, our local area and its community, its history, art and culture, its need for employment and training opportunities, and its social vulnerabilities: these values are the solid foundations on which we have built a unique business model over the years. This model remains true to the revolutionary idea of finding and implementing new ways to improve quality of life.

Equal pay in proportion to hours worked and the non-distribution of profits, which have defined the working relationship among our members from the beginning, reaffirm Di Mano in Mano’s commitment to sharing work, respecting the individual and living simply.

Our vision is to help save the planet through our work and improve the world of work through our choices. We will therefore continue to pursue a sustainable business model based on caring for people, their needs and the world around us.

A TREE FOR EVERY PRODUCT?

Every time you purchase one of our products, you receive not only a quality item but also contribute to a greener future. We are delighted to announce that, for every product sold, we plant a tree in the beautiful Vilcabamba region of Peru.

This reforestation project is carried out in collaboration with the non-governmental organization Mato Grosso, which works tirelessly with local communities to preserve their culture and support local development.

The reason behind this choice is simple: trees are essential to our ecosystem. They absorb CO2, provide oxygen, shelter countless species and help maintain the balance of nature.

But this is not just about planting trees; every purchase also supports local communities. Together with Mato Grosso, we are committed to ensuring that local people benefit directly from this project through employment opportunities and improvements to their quality of life.

Shop consciously, support the “A Tree for Every Product” project and join us in our mission to create a more sustainable, environmentally friendly future. Together, we can make the world a greener place for ourselves and future generations.

Payment must be made within five calendar days of placing the order or winning the auction. Otherwise, the item will be considered unsold and relisted.

After your purchase, we may need to request details from an identification document (identity card, passport or driving licence) to issue an invoice in accordance with Italian tax law.

Goods may be collected in person or by a courier or authorized representative from our warehouse in Cambiago (Milan, Italy) within 15 days.

The collection warehouse is open Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a. and from 2:00 p. Saturday collections are available from 10:00 a. To arrange an appointment, call the number listed in the contact section below the listing.

If you arrange collection from our warehouse using your own courier, we provide basic packaging (cardboard and plastic film) at no additional charge.

Alternatively, you can request a quote for packaging on a pallet or in a wooden crate. We will provide an estimate of the additional cost, which must be paid before collection.

If you arrange collection using your own courier, our cooperative accepts no responsibility for any damage occurring during transport.

If you purchase more than one product, you can save on shipping costs by requesting a combined shipping quote, calculated according to the total volume and destination.

Please note that delivery is curbside.

This means the carrier is not required to bring the goods inside your home unless otherwise agreed with the seller in advance.

If the package or its contents appear damaged upon arrival, accept the delivery subject to inspection, even if the packaging appears intact, and take photographs of the package.

When purchasing an antique item, shipping may be delayed by a few weeks because Italian law requires us to apply for and obtain the additional documentation necessary to export items of artistic value.

For further information, please read the relevant guidance provided by the European Community on buying goods online from a country outside the European Union.

The buyer has the right to withdraw from the contract without penalty and without giving a reason within 30 (thirty) working days following the day the goods were received. This right allows the buyer to return the purchased item to the seller and receive a refund of the purchase price.

If an item is returned because it does not match its description, please note that photographs of the damaged package or any breakage to the items received are required to obtain a refund, including shipping costs. We must receive these photographs no later than 7 working days after delivery.

Returns are at the customer’s expense and responsibility.

At Di Mano in Mano, we are committed to offering our customers the best possible online shopping experience. This includes a commitment to excellent customer service, even after your order has been delivered.
