Oil on canvas of the nineteenth century representing a countryside landscape by petillon jules (1845 paris-25/07/1899 Creteil). Butterfly made a pupil of the evening and devoted himself mainly to painting landscapes. He regularly exhibited at the artists' fair from 1875.

Table dated and located at the reverse "valée de la haute marne", signed by the front at the bottom right. Rare restorations, addition of tension bands for this table rests on contemporary chassis (old cutting of edges).
