Former very beautiful Orientalist oil painting on canvas from the late 19th or early 20th century signed by Louis Maisonneuve! Painter of the French Orientalist school referenced in the Akoun guide! Louis Maisonneuve (born in 1850) was a portraitist and genre painter.

He died in Tananarive in 1926. This painting is entitled "A STREET IN GABES" in Tunisia, it is truly sublime with a character and a typical street! It is signed at the bottom left, with a carved wooden frame gilded with gold leaf, with some slight traces of use on the frame limited and indicated by arrows in close-up photos, which remains very beautiful and clean, the painting which is clean is in very good condition overall! External dimensions of the frame: 54 x 46 cm.
