A very beautiful oil on canvas signed by Bombled, depicting a seated hunting dog, most likely a German pointer. This dog is finely executed, both in its morphology, the texture of its fur, and the colors. This painting has been cleaned by a certified restorer for the restoration of museum-quality works.
The frame is new as this canvas did not have one. Dimensions of the canvas: Length: 41 cm Height: 33 cm. Charles Bombled was born on July 6, 1862, in Chantilly and died in 1927. His full name is: Louis Charles Bombled de Richemont.
He became a pupil of Luminir and began exhibiting very early on. In 1900, he received the gold medal at the Exposition Universelle in Paris.
