Portrait painting of an old woman, oil on canvas, Madame, 17th century, 600. An ancient Italian painting from the second half of the 17th century. The oil on canvas work depicts a portrait of an old lady, the widow of the pharmacist from Trento, of good pictorial quality. A particular subject of large size and strong visual impact adorned with a 19th-century frame, made of wood and plaster, sculpted, ebonized, and gilded. The work is rich in decorative elements, with the pharmacy jars to the left of the figure being very pleasant.
The widow, dressed in a dark gown with finely finished lace, is very well painted. An inscription (bottom left) provides information about the location and the character portrayed (see photo). The painting has undergone conservative restoration, relining, frame replacement, and color touch-ups in some areas (see photo). Overall, the painting is in good condition. Inner measurements H 107 x W 82 cm.H 130 x W 105 x D 11 cm.
