Superb old table oil on wood signed raoul andré ulmann and dated from 1911 at the bottom left, a presumed view of the zaandam mill at dusk. 33,5 x 42 cm. Raoul andré ulmann (May 28, 1867 – 1932) was a French painter.

A student of william bouguereau and tony robert-fleury, he painted Breton, Dutch marines and betting views. From 1907, he exhibited landscapes to the national society of fine arts.

He also exhibited with the new society of betting, later renamed the society of painters and sculptors, presided over by august rodin, at paris and in the United States fairs (notably in buffalo in November-December 1922). During his lifetime, the French state acquired several of his works, which were assigned to the Musée du luxembourg, the Musée Bonnat de Bayonne, the Chamber of Deputies, or the Palais de l'élysée.
