Hello, I put on sale this beautiful painting with impressionist paint airs, 60 cm x 1.10 cm counting the frame. The signature is illegible to me.
A detail however, the artist is probably Dutch: I had the opportunity on the internet to see one of his paintings with many windmills typical of the lower countries. It is an oil on canvas of the 20th century, perhaps made between the 1940s and 1960s, representing a magnificent earth-sea contrast, with mountains in the background, with particularly bright and warm colors, I think in particular of the leaves of these trees, made moreover with great talent, especially with regard to their bark and their thick branches, leaves whose scattering in the air for some of them suggests a particularly welcome movement, as for the vegetation below, which seems to fret. The contrast is represented by a very successful rendering of water, with its many shades of blue glazed with white drags suggesting once again the movement, and on which roam, flying over by two gulls, a few sailboats several meters apart from each other, context bringing from perspective, while the mountains in the background complete the scene in its autumn notes.
While draping it with a winter veil. This suggests that this is the seashore of a Nordic country.
Note the presence of some traces of wear on the frame, some cracks in places on the canvas, witnesses of the passage of time, but relatively discreet, some lack of paintings themselves also discreet and traces probably due to the presence of an old frame, these thus follow a rectangular plot, which is naturally the most visible in clear places, such as the sky and the water. The latter knows how to be more discreet according to certain sources of light; notice, however, that in the second photo, these same traces are a little more visible in reality on the sky.
Without it being shocking enough to tarnish the style of this superb composition, especially since they will never be visible as in the ninth photograph, taken closely, when the painting is looked away. The photo that best restores colors by full sun is the second.Notice to collectors, to people attracted by vintage items, curiosities, decorative objects, or simply admiring their intrinsic beauty!
