Oil on canvas from the second half of the 19th century between 1850 and 1900. The scene depicts the dance of two young men and a young woman in a bucolic landscape at sunset. Ancient dance, Greek or Roman mythology, pagan? Painting bearing a monogram / signature at the bottom right: c. Study for a chabas paul painting? Also close to the themes painted by chavannes puvis. In a good general condition, a microlacune in the young woman's dress barely visible. Face of a slightly rubbed dancer. Work to bring together the artistic or literary currents of Parnassian, symbolist, in the afternoon of a wildlife of stéphane mallarmé etc..

A very minor wash in the dress. The face of one of the dancer is a little scrubbed.
