Beautiful openwork frame presenting a finely executed three-quarter-length female portrait with a lovely period patina. The canvas is signed and dated to the late 19th century.

The painting is set in an elegant antique gilded wooden frame with rich molding, which perfectly enhances the overall presentation. Condition: the canvas shows a network of craquelure consistent with its age. Old restorations are visible on both the front and the back of the canvas (see photos).

The frame shows a few light signs of wear and small losses related to age and use. Dimensions with frame: 43 × 51 cm. Canvas dimensions: 22 × 30 cm.
