The work is presented in its beautiful old carved gilt-wood frame. A refined collector’s piece, full of poetry and characteristic of the artist’s landscape work. Stamp on the back: “GAËTAN DUMAS,” accompanied by a handwritten pencil inscription (inventory/catalog number). Gaëtan Dumas (Marseille, 1879 - Bordeaux, 1950), French painter and poet, member of the Salon des Tuileries, exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants and the Salon d’Automne in the 1920s. His works are included in several French museum collections (Bordeaux, Toulouse, Marseille, Albi, Dijon, Troyes, Petit Palais, and the Musée Carnavalet in Paris).
