Hello, I am selling this painting measuring 33 cm in height by 29 cm in width if we only consider the painted part. It is a superb oil painting on wood panel signed by Papurello, possibly an Italian artist, and dated, it seems to me, July 15, 1939. It depicts a mountain lake landscape, with a church and a charming grove in the foreground. They overlook the vast expanse of the lake, reflecting multiple shades, disturbed here and there by some ripples and the presence of a handful of sailboats, the others seeming to be at the foot of the mountain and allowing for a beautiful perspective due to their location.

The painting, despite signs of wear, superficial impacts, small stains here and there, is in good condition and has benefited from restoration in the form of cleaning; some touch-ups have also been made, notably to conceal two missing parts, one in the sky, the other in the grass, and a previously very visible scratch (see the last photos for a before-after result). The frame, on the other hand, is also in good general condition despite some superficial missing parts and signs of wear here and there. The photos were taken under a skylight created by my Velux window, in the afternoon light delivering a soft winter glow. After numerous tests, I realized that the color rendering in the four photos after the first one, with the equipment that I have, is the one that most faithfully reproduces what can be observed in conditions that most people would consider as "normal", offering a good compromise between sufficient light source and nuanced colors without excess. Note, however, that computer or mobile phone screens other than mine, and depending on their brightness and contrast, may more or less alter the results I have achieved.

With these elements in mind, you can nevertheless consider my photos as sufficiently representative sources of reality, under observation conditions similar to those described earlier. Attention collectors, people attracted to vintage items, curiosities, decorative objects, or simply admirers of their intrinsic beauty! It's a great gift idea. The shipment will be done carefully, unless you prefer a hand delivery, which is entirely possible if you make the trip. Also, in order for this to be taken into account, it is imperative, if the cardboard is damaged enough (you have to determine it upon inspection) at any place, and/or opened, even partially, that you ask the delivery person to note reservations, if it is a shipment with the Post Office, or that you refuse the package with the personnel at the relay point, if it is a shipment with Mondial Relay, UNLESS.

You must ask them to do so. You have the option to note reservations. With the scanning box for shipping receipts. Then you can receive the package - before they scan the shipping receipt or perform any other operation to confirm that you have received the package; in other words, ask to carefully check the condition of the cardboard, not omitting any place, in these two cases before they act.

As for Mondial Relay, in the event that your refusal to receive is formulated, the package will be kept by the relay point in order to be returned to the expertise service, for a verification aiming to report the responsibility of the deliverymen and to make the insurance effective (information gathered on their site) in the event that the item is damaged. Regarding the Post Office, if the delivery is made to your mailbox because the dimensions of the package allow it, without hand delivery, and the cardboard is damaged enough (a nuance that you have to determine), you must return it to the nearest post office without opening it, asking the counter staff to return the package to me (information collected on their site), also in anticipation of a verification of the delivery service, UNLESS, as for the case with Mondial Relay, the postal office personnel can note reservations. In all cases, do not hesitate to take photos of the damaged and/or opened cardboard.

You may think, for any reason, that the item inside the cardboard remains in perfect condition, despite the damaged package, enough (you have to determine it upon inspection), and/or opened, even partially, and therefore that you do not ask to make reservations, or that you accept the package if making reservations is not possible; but know that this is akin to playing Russian roulette since the delivery services count on human error, which, by the way, suits them well since, I repeat, the insurance is then no longer effective due to damage because of the holy transfer of responsibility from the delivery person to the sender or recipient; less expenses for them since they will not have to pay the insurance amount! And do not count on shaking the package to determine if the item is broken; unless it is glass or ceramic, the sound of breakage is imperceptible, or it could be a protective element in the package. Make sure to communicate all these elements in the event that a third party is picking up the package on your behalf. If you have any questions or would like more photos, please feel free to let me know.
