Hello, I am selling this painting that measures 46 cm in height and 55 cm in width. The painting beautifully depicts a countryside landscape, bathed in the sublime colors of a sunset, with a well-proportioned tree that frames the scene here and there, making it even more precious and desirable.
Two fishermen are engaged in their activity, undoubtedly enjoying this display of exceptional poetry. Despite some signs of wear here and there, such as minor cracks, small marks, and signs of restoration, as well as the visible contour of the frame on the right—which remains quite discreet and does not detract from the beauty of the landscape (when viewed from the front, these details are visible as seen in the third photo, but not in the second, and may be less noticeable depending on the room's configuration where it will be placed)—the painting is generally in good condition. It appears to have been varnished with a liquid satin-type varnish, providing protection and beautiful reflections without excess. Note that the restoration at the level of the tree's foliage is only truly visible up close, less than one meter away (since the painting is of medium size, it is best appreciated from several meters away), whether in terms of texture or color that is not perfectly identical to that of the surrounding foliage, or when viewed under an artificial light source directly above the painting; a relatively unlikely scenario. The restorations can be discerned if the painting is viewed from the side, as they present differences in texture and reflections, but again, these angles of observation are not ideal for appreciating the composition and its poetry that leaves a lasting impression. The tension of the canvas is excellent. The photos were taken on a sunny afternoon in a well-lit room. After numerous tests, I found that the color rendering in the second and third photos, with my equipment, is the most faithful representation, regardless of distance, that one can observe under similar conditions.
However, please note that computer or mobile phone screens other than mine, depending on their brightness and contrast, may alter the results I have achieved. With this in mind, you can consider my photos as sufficiently representative of reality, under similar observation conditions as described earlier. Attention collectors, vintage enthusiasts, curiosities, decorative object lovers, or simply those who admire intrinsic beauty!
This makes for an excellent gift idea. The shipping will be done with care, unless you prefer a handover, which is entirely possible if you come to pick it up. To ensure this is taken into account, it is imperative that if the box is damaged sufficiently (it is up to you to determine this upon inspection) at any point, and/or opened, even partially, you ask the delivery person to indicate reservations if it is a shipment via the Post Office, or that you refuse the package with the staff at the pickup point if it is a delivery to a pickup point, UNLESS, you must request this, you have the option to note reservations with the scanning device of the shipping receipts—then you can receive the package—before they scan the shipping receipt or perform any other operation confirming that you have indeed received the package; in other words, ask to thoroughly check the condition of the box, not overlooking any area, in these two scenarios before they act.
Regarding delivery to a pickup point, if your refusal to accept is formulated, the package will be kept by the pickup point to be returned to the expertise service for verification to report the responsibility of the couriers and to make the insurance effective (information gathered from their site) in case the item is damaged. Concerning the Post Office, if delivery occurs in your mailbox because the package's dimensions allow it, without a handover, and if the box is sufficiently damaged (a nuance that it is up to you to determine), you will need to return it to the nearest postal point without opening it, asking the counter staff to return the package to me (information collected from their site), also in anticipation of a delivery service verification, UNLESS, like in the case of delivery to a pickup point, the postal office staff can indicate reservations. In all cases, do not hesitate to take photos of the damaged and/or opened box. You may think, for any reason, that the item inside the box remains in perfect condition despite the damaged box, sufficiently (it is up to you to determine this upon inspection), and/or opened, even partially, and thus that you do not wish to raise any reservations, or that you accept the package if raising reservations is not possible; but know that this is akin to playing Russian roulette since delivery services rely on human error, which, by the way, benefits them since, I repeat, insurance is no longer effective due to the sacred transfer of responsibility from the courier to the sender or recipient; less expense for them since they will not have to pay the insurance amount! And do not count on "shaking" the package to determine if the item is broken; unless it is glass or ceramic, the sound of breakage is imperceptible, or it may be a protective element in the package. Be sure to communicate all these elements in case a third party retrieves the package on your behalf. However, if the condition of the returned item is different from what it was when I sent it, but there is no proof to determine that the couriers are responsible, then there will be no refund, for the reason that even with excellent packaging, it can happen that not only the shocks during transport are extremely significant but also that this occurs without visible external damage, meaning on the box. These things may not have occurred during the initial shipment and may have been avoided if the buyer had collected the package and thus prevented a second transport, theoretically involving twice the risks for the item. If you have any questions or would like more photos, please do not hesitate to let me know.
